ATTENTION ALL PILOTS
SEQUIM VALLEY AIRPORT FRIENDLY NEIGHBOR POLICY
THE MANAGEMENT AT SEQUIM VALLEY AIRPORT IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING A QUALITY GENERAL AVIATION FACILITY FOR PILOTS WHILE AT THE SAME TIME BEING COMMUNITY AND NEIGHBOR FRIENDLY.
A KEY PART OF THIS EFFORT IS ENCOURAGING PILOTS TO EXERCISE NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES.
YOU CAN DO YOUR PART TO HELP BY:
- USING LOW POWER SETTINGS WHILE FLYING IN THE LOCAL AREA
- LIMITING TOUCH AND GOES (three maximum in any given day)
- STAYING ABOVE 2000 FEET AGL WHILE FLYING IN THE LOCAL AREA
- PLEASE MAKE ALL TRAFFIC PATTERN TURNS WEST OF KITCHEN-DICK ROAD AND EAST OF CARLSBORG ROAD AT 400 FEET AGL OR HIGHER FOR ARRIVALS AND 1000 FEET OR HIGHER FOR DEPARTURES.
YOUR PARTICIPATION IS APPRECIATED
Sequim Valley Airport has no jurisdiction over local airspace and aircraft that are flying. Noise complaints about aircraft that are flying can be sent to the FAA.
We encourage local pilots to be neighbor friendly and follow the suggested guidelines listed above. Please keep in mind that there are over nine additional local airports and that many aircraft are based at different airports.
An airplane may originate from many different locations. We do not have the authority to tell pilots where and when they can fly around the Sequim area.
